Today my working assignments are including rescue HDD data which HDD have physical problem. HDD make knocking sound and the pin head reader wasn’t active. This could take 6hours or more. The HDD model Fujitsu MHR2030AT 30GB. I feel this is not really difficult because the HDD capacity is only 30 GB and the HDD behavior is not really scare me….
OK 1st let’s see if my machine can detect HDD…… Without any problem our custom made machine detect HDD and it’s appear the model and serial number. Then my work will be coming easy. We are using flash base programming and also Windows application software to do this work. Hope the photo and screen shot can help to understand how I recover and rescue HDD data from broken HDD.
The original C partition was NTFS files I only rescue Documents and Settings document, total rescue data are about 7GB. The rest of the data are not really important such like Windows files, system files and etc. will not be rescue unless request by customer. I think I’ll able to rescue customer important files now such like family photo, office documents and address book in outlook format
Windows have detected HDD via firewire.
